Ties leads the data function at Dawn, with a focus on Rolodex – a proprietary data & AI platform for relationship intelligence. The aim is to enhance Dawn’s investors to have better meetings with other VCs through AI driven intel, to be smarter about who we meet with and when, and better leverage our network (including 2nd or 3rd order connections). Dawn's technology approach is about elevating people and relationships through AI, not replacing them. Prior Ties worked at Google, where he was revenue analytics lead, managing several billion dollars of its ads business. During his time there, Ties also actively contributed to work diagnosing diabetic retinopathy through AI and mapping air pollution in European cities. He also co-founded Cognitas.tech, a company that works with the London School of Economics (LSE) and other institutions to teach data science.

Roland is Managing Partner at Cipio Partners (www.cipiopartners.com), a leading investment management and advisory firm for European Growth Capital & Minority Buy-Outs for Technology Companies. Roland leads Cipio’s origination activities while serving on several company boards in Europe. He started his private equity career at 3i Group doing technology and mid-market buyout deals. Before 3i, Roland was a strategy consultant with Roland Berger and the Boston Consulting Group, as well as a robotics researcher with Hitachi Ltd. in Japan. He holds degrees from EPFL in Lausanne and the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, USA.

Antoine handles the technology and innovation at Newfund, and provides technical support to both investors and founders. Antoine comes from an engineering background and has experience in designing, developing and maintaining deeply technical products with demanding infrastructure. He previously grew and led a team as CTO for a social network for musicians. During his after hours, he mentors new developers who learn the Python programming language.

Jurjen Soppe is Managing Director and Head of Benelux at private equity firm Mutares, where he specializes in special situation investments. Notably, he recently led Mutares Benelux's successful acquisition of the Heat Transfer Technology business from Siemens Energy. Before his role at Mutares, Jurjen worked as Director Financial Restructuring at ABN AMRO in both the Netherlands and New York. He also gained valuable experience as a consultant at Deloitte, focusing on buy- and sell-side due diligence, restructuring, and carve-out projects for several corporates and financial sponsors. Jurjen holds a master's degree in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Bocconi, and he's a certified Register Controller (RC) with a post-graduate degree in Finance and Control.

Matthieu Baret, Managing Partner in charge of Venture, joined the Group in 2005. He has overseen over 40 investments and is primarily active in the telecoms/media, software, B2B sectors. Before that Matthieu has worked 10 years in the telecom sector, mainly for carriers. He regularly speaks on entrepreneurship at Centrale-Supelec and Dauphine. Matthieu is a graduate of CENTRALE-SUPELEC, and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech (Atlanta, USA) and an MBA from INSEAD.
